Get out. This place is a must try. They have parking which is awesome and the food is homemade German food. They have all you can eat sausage for 20 bucks… super cool. They even have their own beer. Highly recommend trying the beer and desserts. The apple strudel’s are insane. Just go asap dont miss this one if you are in Columbus.

This German restaurant is nestled in a German neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. The streets we drove on to get to restaurant were all brick and what looked like cobble stone. The area really had a Germany fill! We loved the area! The food at Schmidt’s was good! We had a bratwurst with sides. For dessert, he had Apple strudel with ice cream and I had a jumbo cream puff, the puff was huge and so yummy!

This place never disappoints. I've been here many times but the first time I've taken my whole family. They all loved it. We started with the pretzel bites and not sure what they do to them but they were awesome and ended up with two orders because my kids loved them. I had the sausage sampler which I'll get again in a heart beat as it was really good. My favorite is the knockwurst worst and Bahama momma. A kid ate the brat burger (flat brat) and was a hit. The regular brats are always great. You cannot leave without a creampuff for dessert. The service was great and the atmosphere was on point for German place. We'll see you next year.

This place was fantastic! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We had the sausage sampler, and every piece was delicious. The bean & sausage soup was full of flavor. The pretzel bites with beer cheese was great, better than your average pretzel. We shared the sampler, so my photo is a half portion. They actually were nice enough to split it for us and bring it out like that.

The atmosphere was cozy. Food yummy. We were well taken care of by Lorenzo. Had a nice German import beer on draft. Would return.

The service was great. I would return just for that. The guy that served us was so attentive and helpful. The atmosphere of this restaurant is pretty nice. I've never been to Germany but I've been to several German restaurants and this one just seems a little more authentic than others. The food is pretty good. I can't give the food five stars because some of the things I tried didn't have enough flavor. Now that could just be my opinion possibly it is supposed to taste that way. Definitely try a float though!!!!!!

A Columbus staple that's a must visit. The food and atmosphere is unique and set Schmidt's apart from other German restaurants. Definitely save room for dessert.

Went here to try the cream puffs and I'd say they were very good. The cream filling was outstanding but the puff part was a touch underwhelming to me. It wasn't bad and maybe my expectations were high based on the reviews but I expected it to be a bit more flavorful and slightly crisper. I would definitely eat one again and can see why people recommend, just providing my opinion.

Great, great German restaurant and if we lived here we'd be back all the time. Delicious schnitzel with mushroom gravy. Their sausage is the real deal and delicious. And tasty desserts! And beeeeer!

Came in to place a to-go order. The place was packed, people waiting out the door. I made my order and it took maybe 15 minutes. The German potato salad was very good, as was the knockwurst. Had I known they were that good, I would have gotten two orders, lol. If you are looking for some good German food, this is definitely worth checking out.
